Today, the U.S. Department of Justice ("DOJ") announced that it is intervening in a case filed by Integra Med Analytics against eleven skilled nursing facilities and their owner for fraudulently billing Medicare for unnecessary services. The DOJ’s intervention builds on findings developed by Integra through its investigation and analysis of the Medicare billing practices of the eleven New York-based facilities. Integra’s investigation demonstrated that these facilities were engaged in significant Medicare fraud through wrongfully extending patient stays and providing unnecessary and unreasonable rehab without regard for patients’ medical needs.

The U.S. Department of Justice's (Southern District of New York) press release can be found here, and their filed complaint is available from this Justice Department link.
